By letter dated July 19, 1988, Florida Power Corporation submitted Relief Request No. 88-030 and Relief Request No. 88-040. These relief requests pertain to the use cf Code Cases N-416 and N-424 as alternatives to the requirements for hydro-static testing and personnel qualification for visual examination of the 1983 Edition through Sunner 1983 Addenda of Section XI at Crystal River Unit 3. Since these Code Cases are listed in Regulatory Guide 1.147. Revision 6 dated May 1968, they have been approved for use in lieu of the Section XI requirements. Therefore, relief requests are not required to be s'1bmitted. However, we do require that licensees inform the NRC that the code cases are being implemented at the facility and that they are integrated into the facility's inservice inspection program.
