NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-302/98-12
Dear Mr. Cowan:

On October 16,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at your Crystal River 3 Nuclear Plant.
The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During the week of October 13-16,1998, an inspection team observed selected portions of your
emergency organization's response in key facilities during the emergency preparedness plume
exposure exercise conducted on October 14,1998. The emergency response observed dunng
the simulated accident was determined to be satisfactory.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
