.U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission June 8, 1988 Page 2 concludes that there is no geoscience or seismological data that supports the presence, postulated by Dr. Aggarwal, of a 70 kilo-meter long fault capable of producing a magnitude 6.5 earthquake in the vicinity of the Perry facility. The enclosed report includes new data and analysis on the geology and seismology of the Northern Ohio area and integrates this information into the existing historical data. Licensees request that the enclosed report be considered in the formal Decision in this matter.
