This is in response to your letter dated June 14, 1971, stating the Air Force's intent to approve the opening of the revised Bayshore low altitude training route, based on an analysis of the proposed " temporary route" at the Bayshore radar bomb scoring site.

It appears, based on the analysis, that the probability of a .

B-52 deviatinE from the bomb run corridor, overflying the Big Rock Point Nuclear Plant, and crashing into that facility is extremely low.

We agree, based on your' conclusions, that the probability of a B-52 deviating from the, bomb run corridor, overflying the Bit Rock Point Nuclear Plant, and crashing into that facility is extremely remote. We therefore have no objection to the Air Force's opening of the revised Bayshore route.
