Interim 10CFR50.55(e) Report; Titeflex Corporation Flexible llose Assemblies

Dear Sir:

On October 19, 1983, a potentially reportable 10CFR50.55(e) item was reported [ Reference (b)] regarding Titeflex Corporation flexible hose assemblies. Flexible hose assemblies supplied by Titeflex Corporation which are intended for use in the Component Cooling Water System (Class 3) and the Diesel Generator Coolant System (Class 3) are not in compliance with two sections of the 1980 ASME,Section III, Division 1 Code.

A detailed engineering evaluation of the flexible hose assemblies is und erway. The results of the evaluation are scheduled to be completed by January 27, 1983 at which time a status report on this subject will be submitted.

This letter is being filed pursuant to the interim reporting provision of 10CFR50.55(e)(3).
