 ' licensee during the exit interview on September 4, 1987. These observations are not violations, deviations, unresolved items, or open items. .These observations were identified for licensee consideration for program improvement, but the observations have no specific regulatory requirement. The licensee stated that the observations would be reviewe Environmental Monitoring Program Audit A review of NPPD Audit No. 86-17, "QAP-900 Environmental Monitoring Program," indicated that the licensee had not included a review of the environmental meteorological monitoring equipment as part of their audit progra !

Environmental Reports and noted that the sample analysis data was presented in summary format.as required by. Technical Specification The NRC inspectors concluded that this report format

  'did not provide' sufficient data to verify licensee compliance with Tables 3.21.F.1 and 3.21.F.2_of the Technical Specifications and that an expanded format would make the' report more usefu . Open Items The NRC-inspectors' discussed the following open' item with the licensee during the exit interview on September 4, 1987. ~0 pen items'are matters

, that require further review and evaluation by the NRC. inspectors or l- licensee. Open items are used to document, track, and ensure adequate followup on matters of concern to the NRC inspectors.

l Training / Qualification Records

  ~The NRC inspectors reviewed the training / qualification records of the HP technicians responsible for performing the environmental sampling program onsite. It was noted that even though these HP technicians had been previously trained to perform the various environmental sampling tasks their current job performance measure training records had not been updated to reflect this prior qualificatio Several formerly trained HP technicians were presently being assigned and
 '

performing environmental sampling duties without their current training records indicating that they were qualified to perform all i the assigned tasks. This item is considered open (298/8722-01) ;
