Confirmation of Action This refers to a telephone conversation on June 22, 1982, between Mr. J. Williams, Vice President, Nuclear Energy, and Mr. R. C. Lewis of this office, concerning staff augmentztion times at your Turkey Point and St. Lucie plants in the event of an emergency.

With mgard to the matters discussed, it is our understanding that you will under-take the following actions:

1. A msponse supplementing your letters of March 2,1982 (L-02-77), and April 1,1982 (L-82-128) on staff augmentation times will be sismitted within 30 days of this letter, providing details on.how you intend to neet the objectives in Table B-1 of NUREG-0654,. Revision 1. This response will include a breakdown by function, position and augmenta-tion time for any functional ama not expected to meet the 30 minute and 60 minute times specified in Table B-1.
2. The supplemental response will include full consideration of time-saving measures, which may include examples such as prioritized call-in lists by function and location, comprehensive duty officer assignments, automated dialers, pager-beepers, location of monitoring equipment j offsite, and additional training of other on-shift personnel _ to fill teaporary assignments in.needed functional areas.

l 3. Additional call-in drills, to provide a malistic assessment of the times een each position would be filled, will be conducted after the l appropriate time-saving measures discussed in item 2 are implemented.

Actual msults of these drills for each Table B-1 position will be provided to this office when completed.
