Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Generic Letter 92-08 Thermo-La U rades Im lementation Status By letter L-96-318 dated December 12, 1996, FPL submitted a request for exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix R for raceway fire barriers in outdoor fire areas excluding the Turbine Building at Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.

By letter dated February 24, 1998, the NRC granted the FPL request for exemption for Fire Zones 47, 54, 113, 114, 115, 116, 118, 119, 120 and 143. By FPL letter L-98-151 dated June 15, 1998, FPL stated that implementation of Thermo-Lag fire barrier upgrades for these fire zones, and Fire Zone 106R, would be completed no later than December 31, 1999 purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Thermo-Lag

'he upgrades for Fire Zones 47, 54, 113, 114, 115, 116, 118, 119, 120 and 143 were completed on July 26, 1999. There were no Thermo-Lag upgrades required in Fire Zone 106R.
