SUBJECT: NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT 50-155/96005(DRP)

Dear Mr. Donnelly:

On July 26, 1996, the NRC completed an inspection at your Big Rock Point

Nuclear Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.

During the 5-week period covered by this inspection, operations, maintenance,

and engineering activities were generally performed in a satisfactory manner. ,

Your staff has recently taken initiatives to improve work planning; however,  !

based on observations pertaining to maintenance work on plant technical-

specification-required equipment, continued attention is needed in this area.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of

this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room

!

(PDR). j
