Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

As indicated in References 1 and 2, the original design criteria for Class IS pipe hangers and supports at Cooper Nuclear Station was the operating basis earthquake. Subsequent reanalysis using safe shutdown earthquake loading showed 28 supports did not meet the requirement of a factor of safety greater than or equal to 5. Operation of CNS in the interim was discussed in Reference 3. This letter is written to inform that all of these supports have been modified.

The remaining items discussed in the references were also completed.

Discrepancies found during the inspections are recorded and available at CNS for NRC review (reference NCR's 1174, 1662, 1665 thru 1671, 1673, 1706, 1707, 1712, 1763 thru 1767, 1773, 1774, and 2027).
