Swailes (NPPD) dated March 1,1999," Proposed Change to CNS Technical Specifications; Reactor Protection System Instrumentation" In the aoove reference, the Nebraska Public Power District (District) submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a proposed change to the Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS) 7 Technical Specifications concerning the calibration frequency of reactor recirculation flow

transmitters associated with the Average Power Range Monitors. In the Significant 11azard Determination of this submittal, the District referenced Nuclear Engineering Design Calculation (NEDC)98-024. In a telephone conununication between the NRC Nuclear Reactor Regulation 4U/
(NRR) Project Manager for CNS and the CNS Nuclear Licensing & Safety (NL&S) Supervisor, the NRC NRR Project Manager requested that this calculation be submitted on the docket in order to be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. In accordance with this request, please find attached a copy of NEDC 98-024.
