BIG ROCK POINT PLANT REVISION 14 TO THE SUITABILITY, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION PLAN

Dear Mr. Rang:

This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated May 12,1998, which transmitted changes to the Big Rock Point Suitability, Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 14, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).

Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the overall effectiveness of your Suitability, Training and Qualification Plan and after review of the changes, no NRC approval is required, in accordance with 50.54(p). Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that the changes have not decreased the overall effectiveness of your security plan.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. l If you wish to discuss this letter or any additional security plan changes, please contact Mr. James Kniceley at (630) 829-9874.
