SHOTS FIRED At approximately 9:30 p.m., PST, on April 21, 1986, shots were fired by an unknown assailant ct c Southern California Edison contractor (Catalytic, Inc.) enployee as he was making a
- routine motorized thef t abatement tour of the owner controlled area known as the " mesa".
Tho location of the shooting is approximately i alle outside of the protected area.
Six bullets hit the windshield. The employee suffered a slight eye injury from glass fregments. He was treated at San Clemente General Hospital and released.
Agencies notified by the licensee include FBI, USMC, U. S. Border Patrol and San Diego Sh: riff's Office. The IAT has been notified.
The NRC, IE Operations Center was notified at 4:45 a.m., EST, April 22, 1986. The licensee 10 preparing a response for press queries.
Units 1 and 2 are shut down for refueling. Unit 3 is operating at 100% power.
