C. ENTRY CONDITION This procedure is entered from Alternative Safe Shutdown Index ASSD-01.

1. A fire has occurred in an area coni.aining Alternative Safe Shutdown Train A and/or Train B equipment, AND
2. The Shift Foreman has determined that the reactor is to be brought to Cold Shutdown using Alternative Safe Shutdown Train A At0/OR B.

The purpose of this procedure is to provide supplemental actions to be used concurrently with E0P's and other operations procedures to achieve and maintain Cold Shutdown coincident with or without a 72 hour8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> loss of

  1. 8.J g off-site power.

D. OPERATOR ACTIONS

1. IF while executing this procedure, the fire is extinguished AND tTe Shift Fdreman detennines that no action within this procedure is required, THEN EXIT this procedure.

NOTE For a fire in the Service Water Building, the Unit 2 ASSD 09 procedure will restore power to the Emergency Buses (if necessary) and make Nuclear Service Water available for both units. Service water may not be available for a period of time and it may be necessary to stop all 4 Emergency Diesels.

2 .' WHEN direct &d by Unit 2, THEN START the following service water pumps from the RTGB if they are NOT running as follows,

a. START Nuclear Service Water Pump 1B ,0_R, b b. START Conventional Service Water Pump 1A supplying the Nuclear Header, AND BSEP-1/ASSD-09 Page 3 of 4 Rev. O
c. START Conventional Service Water Pump 18 supplying the g Conventional Header
3. WHEN directed by Unit 2, THEN VERIFY Stopped OR STOP the T6TTowing service water pumps from the RTGB. -
a. Nuclear Service Water Pump 1A
b. Conventional Service Water Pump 1C
4. IF Nuclear Service Water Pump 1A AND/0R Conventional Service Yater Pump IC are NOT able to be stopped from the RTGB, THEN INFORM Unit 2.
5. WHEN:
a. The fire has been extinguished AND
b. All breakers, AND/OR switches operated in this procedure are restored to their normal position AND R B.)
c. No actions within this procedure are required to achieve or maintain Cold Shutdown, THEN
d. EXIT this procedure.
