1. Replace Paragraph 5.6.A with the following:

O " Air content is recorded and meets the acceptance criteria shown on the Brown & Root Concrete Design Mix Tabulation located in the TUCCO vault area IF2".

2. Replace Paragraph 5.6.B with the following:
            " Slump is recorded and meets the acceptance criteria shown on the Brown & Root Concrete Design Mix Tabulation located in the TUGC0 vault area IF2".
3. Replace Paragraph 5.6.C with the following:
            " Concrete temperature is recorded and meets the acceptance criteria shown below:
1) Cold Weather Placement
  • When the ambient temperature is below 40'F during placement or within 24 hours thereafter. The concrete temperature at the time of placement is to be not less than 50'F for massive pours (sections greater than 2'-6) and not less than 55'F for all other pours.
2) Hot Weather Placement *

(n) When the ambient temperature does not meet the requirement of cold weather placement. The concrete temperature is to be 70'F or less for maosive pours and 90*F or less for all other pours.

  • NOTE: Tcmperature may be obtained from the daily temperature graphs located in the TUGC0 vault area IE8.
