1.0 PURPOSE
\\j This Quality Instruction, QI-050, provides instructions for the reinspections of Pipe Welds / Material (PIWM). This QI encompasses the instructions for the reinspections of both the Large Bore *ipe Welds / Material (LBWM) subset Quality Instruction, QI-049 (Refe
- nce 3.4), and the Small Bore Pipe Welds / Material (SBWM) subset Quality Instruction, QI-047 (Reference 3.5).
2.0 APPLICABILITY This instruction shall be implemented for all safety related, construction complete, and QC accepted large bore pipe, small bore pipe, containment penetration, and mechanical equipment pressure boundary weld / material reinspections. The PIWM population is described in the Population Description for Pipe Welds / Material (Reference 3.3).
The LBWM and SBWM subsets are also described in the Population Description for Pipe Welds / Material (Reference 3.3)
3.0 REFERENCES

4.0 GENERAL Reinspections are performed and documented in accordance with established CPRT procedures and instructions. Reference 3.2, provides the instructions for performing, documenting, and processing the results of the reinspections.
4.1 Responsibilities QA/QC Inspectors perform reinspections in accordance with established project procedures and instructions. Reference 3.2 addresses the method used to perform reinspections and to document and process the results.

5.0 INSTRUCTION Items within the PIWM population have been segregated into large bore and small bore subsets. The Population Description for Pipe Welds / Material (Reference 3.3) will be referenced to determine the subset in which each PIWM item should be placed.
Visual reinspection of PIWM items which are in the large bore subset are to be performed to Quality Instruction QI-049,
" Reinspection of Large Bore Pipe Welds / Material".
Visual reinspection of PIWM items which are in the small bore subset are to be performed to Quality Instruction QI-047,
" Reinspection of Small Bore Pipe Welds / Material".
