MAY 2 41985 Ms. Connie M. Lodge 3517 Glynn Drive IN RESPONSE REFER Toledo, OH 43614 TO F01A-85-285

Dear Ms. Lodge:

This is in partial response to your letter dated April 10, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), access to records concerning the possible health effects on the local residents of the March 28, 1979, accident at Three Mile Island (TMI). You indicated your interest in data and studies on the changes in disease rates and other health-related problems among this population for a period of years before the accident and the six years since that event.

The NRC has already made the records identified by asterisks on the enclosed Appendix A available at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555, for public inspection and copying. At this time, we are placing copies of the remaining records identified on the enclosed Appendix A in the (PDR), in folder F01A-85-285 under your name. We are enclosing a copy of a notice that provides charges and procedures for obtaining copies of rec-ords from the PDR.

Our review of another document is continuing, and we will communicate with you again upon completion of our review.

Si rely J. M. Felton, Director Division of Rules and Records Office of Administration
