Dear Ms. Aamodt:

This responds to your pleading that you filed with the Commission on June- 10, 1987. Your motion requesting that.the Licensing Board reconsider its May 21, 1987 decision concerning leak rate i data falsification'at TMI-2 has been referred to that Board for its consideration.

With respect to your request that parties be able to comment on the Board's May 21, 1987 recommended decision, the commission in its December 18, 1985 decision initiating.the proceeding did not provide for such public comments. Instead, it directed that the- l NRC staff to review the Licensing Board's recommended decision and provide'the Commission with its recommendations regarding what action, if any, should be taken by the NRC in response.to the

' decision. Should you, or the other, parties to the proceeding, wish to ccmment on the Board's decision,.the appropriate mechanism 'i' would be for you to send your comments to the NRC staff. Staff would take the comments into acount, as appropriate, in making its recommendations to the Commission.
