Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. SS 2.730 the Joint Intervenors' Response must be served on or before July 30, 1984, and the NRC Staff's Response is due to be served on August 3, 1984.

Applicants bring these filing dates to the attention of the Bcard and the other parties because the deadline for filing written testimony on Joint Contention IV is August 9, 1984. In light of this date, and in view of the fact that the Staff has been considering this issue for some period of time, Applicants urge the Staff to give expedited consideration to Applicants' Motion and serve its response on or before July 30, 1984. Ap-plicants are hopeful that such an expedited recponse by the Staff would enable the Board to address this issue for all par-ties' benefit prior to the filing of written testimony.
