Dear Sir or Madam:

I In accordance with 10 CFR 50.74(a), Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) provides notification that three Senior Reactor Operators licensed on the Harris Nuclear Plant have been reassigned from the position for which CP&L previously certified the need for a senior reactor operator license. The name, docket number, and license number for each individual is included in the enclosure to this letter. CP&L requests that the subject licenses be terminated effective October 4, 1999.

CP&L requests that the information contained in the enclosure be exempt from public disclosure under the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6) since disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
