Dear Mr. Keppler:

Attached are the Sr-89 and Sr-90 data which were not completed by our contractor until after the due date for the submittal of the Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, corresponding to the period from January 1,1982 to June 30, 1982. This report was submitted in our letter No. AEP:NRC:0725, dated August 27, 1982. The Gaseous Effluents Tables, Pages A-5 'and A-6; Liquid Effluents Tables, Pages A-7 and A-8; and Table 1, Summary of Doses from all Effluent Pathways, of this report should be replaced by the attached Pages A-Sa through A-8a and Table 1. The updated Tables include the values incorporating the Sr-89 and Sr-90 data for the second quarter.

There were slight changes in the calculated doses for the liquid pathways due to the incorporation of the revised Sr-89 and Sr-90 data.

The revised doses for the liquid pathways are shown in Table 1 of the attachment.

Based on the infonnation presented in the updated Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report, it can be concluded that Units 1 and 2 performed their function without causing any hazard to the health and safety of the general public.
