Dear Dr. Murley:
This letter is being submitted pursuant to a discussion held with your staff on May 21, 1990, regarding our proposed control room habitability technical specification (T/S) changes and their supporting analyses (References 1,
2, and 3).
Specifically, it is our intent to recalculate the control room thyroid doses considering suggestions made by your staff regarding manual damper closing time and charcoal adsorber efficiency. It is our understanding that the NRC expects to publish a generic letter on control room habitability in the near future.
As discussed with your staff, our revised calculations (and any necessary revisions to our proposed T/Ss) will be submitted within 60 days of receipt of the generic letter.
That submittal will supersede, in part, our previous submittals.
