The McGuire Nuclear Station near Charlotte, North Carolina, has loaded fuel and now awaits the issuance of an operating license by the N.R.C.
Duke Power Company and the Piedmont Carolinas are eagerly awaiting this license so that McGuire 1 can finally generate electricity.
The attached editorial expresses the majority opinion in the area very well. Let's get on with it.
