50-370/99-05

Dear Mr. Barron:

This refers to the inspection conducted between June 20,1999, and July 31,1999, at McGuire
-
Nuclear Station. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
Quring the six-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of activities at the McGuire
'
facility was generally characterized by safety-cor.scious operations, sound engineering and
maintenance practices, and careful radiological work controls.
Based on the results of this inspection, the Nuclear Regulaiory Commission (NRC) has
determined that two violations of NRC requirements occurred. These violations are being

treated as Non-Cited Violations (NCVs), consistent with Appendix C of the Enforcement Policy.
The NCVs are described in the subject inspection report, if you contest the violation or severity
{
level of the,se NCVs, you should provide a response within 30 days of the date of this inspection
'
report, with the basis for your denial, to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN: Document
Control Desk, Washington DC 20555-0001, with copies to the Regional Administrator, Region ll,
