Dear Mr. Hood,
As per instructions from you on February 6,1985,I am submitting in written forra my question on the Mcguire Nuclear Station. My question needs to be answ'ered by an official from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The topic of my question concerns chapter 6 of the FSAR. Using figure 6.3.2-4 (rev. 21) I can see a pipe between the upper head injection surge tank and the water accumulator. The connection to the surge tank is labeled with a code (E).
The connection to the accumulator is labeled with a code (C1).
On figure 6.3.2-8(27 of 32) revision 15, I am able to locate the exact connection of (E)into the (UHI) surge tank. However I am unable to locate the exact point i
at which the (UHI) joins the accumulator (C1).
- 1) I need you to explain to me the exact point at which the UHI joins the accumulator.
- 2) If possible can you explain where I can obtain the correct drawings?
