DOCKET NO. 50-266 LICENSEE EVENT REPORT NO. 80-004/03L-0 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 Enclosed is Licensee Event Report No. 80-004/03L-0 (a 30-day report) with an attachment which provides a description of an event reportable in accordance with Technical Specification 15.6.9.2.B.2, " Conditions leading to operation in a degraded mode permitted by a limiting condition for operation or plant shut-down required by a limiting condition for operation".
When this event occurred, it was interpreted as requiring "immediate" NRC notification and a follow-up 24-hour written report.
Both were filed on April 9, 1980. However, based on a complete evaluation which could not be done in the "immediate notification" time frame, this event is reportable per the requirements delineated above. This event did not require immediate notification or a 24-hour report. gg very traly yours, 5
