OF JULY 29,1999 PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS POINT BEACH NUCLEAR STATION PROPOSED EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN CHANGES
Dear Mr. Reddemann:
This letter summarizes the meeting held on July 29,1999, at the NRC Region lli office between staff members of the NRC and Point Beach. This meeting was open to public observation. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss proposed revisions to the plant's Emergency Action Level (EAL) criteria used in classifying emergencies and the results of recent improvement initiatives in the Emergency Preparedness program. Discussions included proposed revisions to the EALs, related procedure revisions, Emergency Response Organization training, response facility activation, and the status of the response organization notification computer system.
