In our letter dated December 21, 1989, we provided afresponse to a Notice ofcViolation outlined in Inspection Reports-50-266/89027 and 50-301/89026 for Units 1 and.2 respectively.':In_that rasponse we noted a number of corrective actions'for which we l
identified a' September.1990 completion date. These-corrective-actions-included the. appointment by the Manager-Point Beach Nuclear Plant of an interdisciplinary-task. group to' review our policy and practices for procedure usage and; reviews including the application of temporary changesLto procedures.
Although this group was initially created to address the corrective actions for this particular violation, the scope of the group activities was subsequently expanded to include a.
broader examination of our procedure usage.
Due to this expanded i
i review,-we have been unable to complete the corrective: actions-discussed below within the-schedule we had' originally proposed.
H We have discussed these matters with the NRC Resident Inspector-and he is agreeable to the revised schedule noted:below:'

The interdisciplinary task group has made considerable progress in the development and review of revisions-to'the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Administrative Procedures (PBNP's)-
which address temporary changes to procedures.
Revised ~
procedures will, however,'not be issued until after-the Unit 2 refueling ~ outage.
We anticipate a revision to PBNP 2.1.1,
