UNIT 1 - AMENDMENT 92 - SUBMITTAL OF RESPONSES TO ROUND 2 QUESTIONS CONTAINED IN FEBRUARY 2 AND MARCH 21, 1979 LETTERS TO CG&E AND REVISION 57 TO THE FSAR

Dear Mr. Denton:

The Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company on behalf of itself and as agent for Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company and The Dayton Power and Light Company hereby submits information in response to the Commission's letters dated February 2 and March 21, 1979. The information, designated by the Commission as " additional information needed to continue our review" is submitted along with FSAR changes. The response constitutes Amendment 92 to the Application. It is documented in the FSAR as Revision 57.

The information is submitted in the form of respo.tses to positions contained in the Commission's February 2 and March 21, 1979 letters and change out pages necessary to amend the FSAR. Sixty (60) copies of the information are transmitted.

Also included is one copy each of revised full-sized P&ID's.

In order to facilitate your review, a listing of all P&ID changes has been attached to the full-sized drawings.

CG&E will train its operators to detect specific ATWS events and to take appropriate mitigating action should the events occur. The specific ATWS events to be included in the training program will be developed in conjunction with the NRC Staff.

CG&E plans to have personnel from outside the CG&E Corporation with experience in BWR operations function as a full member of the ORC and the NRC will be advised when the personnel selection has been made.

Cashman, M.D., Mr. Gary Williams, Mr. Charles M. Hardin, Brook-haven National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Atomic Industrial Forum.

A certificate confirming service of Amendment 92 upon Mr. Harold B. Bissantz, President of the Board of County Commissioners of Clermont County, Ohio, Chief Executive of the County in which the facility is located, will be filed when acknowledgement of the receipt thereof has been obtained.
