Re: Mn.H. Zimmer Station Revised Organization This is to formally notify you that, effective midnight February 17, 1984, a revised organization will be placed in charge of the Wm. H. Zimmer Station. As you have been informed, the owners of Zimmer have decided to convert the station from a nuclear to a coal-fueled generating facility. Due to many of the former nuclear staff taking positions with other companies and the need to tailor our organization to the task of phasing out the nuclear activities, this new organization was developed.

Mr. J. R. Schott will become the Site Manager and will be the principal contact with the Nuclear Regulatory Commiccion during this phasecut period. Mr. Schott will report to Mr. S. G. Salcy, Manager of CG&C's Electric Production Department.

While the project remains under the jurisdiction of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Mr. J. F. Shaffer will continue to function as Manager of Quality Assurance and will report directly to Mr. S. G. Salay, as the organization chart labeled Attachment 1 indicates.

As the second organization chart (Attachment 2) indicates, all other key personnel at the site will report directly to Mr. Schott. This includes Mr. R. W. Link, Station Superintendent; Mr. G. C. Ficke, Licensing Manager; Mr. H. C. Brinkmann, Engineering Support Manager; thr. B. K. Culver, Construction Support Manager; and Mr. H. G. Gadd, Director, Administrative Support.

Dr. K. K. Chitkara, Nuclear Fuel Manager, while not located at the site, will also report to Mr. Schott during this phase of the project.
