PUBLIC SUBMISSION Docket: NRC-2018-0101 Turkey Point Nuclear Plant Units 3 and 4 Comment On: NRC-2018-0101-0001 As of: 6/8/18 8:56 AM Received: June 04, 2018 Status: Pending_Post Tracking No. lk2-93j3-s5mm Comments Due: June 21, 2018 Submission Type: Web Florida Power & Light Company; Turkey Point Nuclear Plant Units 3 and 4 Document: NRC-2018-0101-DRAFT-0010 Comment on FR Doc# 2018-10806 Name: Diane Johnson Address:

3740 Mykonos ct Boca Raton, FL, 33487 Email: djoveges@gmail.com Submitter Information General Comment The technology used at the Turkey Point facility is woefully outdated. As a result their cooling canals contain the radioactive isotope tritium. To add insult to injury, Biscayne Bay is now polluted with tritium from those cooling canals. We all know water is not a solid that stays in one place; it flows. There is a hyper-saline plume containing tritium moving from Biscayne Bay to the Biscayne Aquifer, which provides drinking water to the millions of people who live in South Florida. Florida Power & Light has not been truthful about this pollution, but was finally ordered to fix the problem and is charging its customers for the clean-up. FP&L should not be allowed to further expand an operation that is polluting our environment and putting our health at risk.
