83 FR 23726 *I am a resident of Miami. I have been an environmental activist for many years in this City and I am very concerned about the effects of climate change on this region; especially hurricanes and sea level rise. Nuclear Power makes up over 99% of Florida's clean energy and is indispensable ifwe are to have any hope of having a viable future in South Florida. I recognize that Nuclear Power is rated as being the safest form of energy on the planet. I hope that FPL not only keeps their present reactors open but replaces all of it's 16 coal power plants across Florida with Nuclear Power Plants as well. I also hope that the NRC would get rid of it's ALARA rules which are pointless impediments to the production of clean power across the USA and that they fast track the approval of advanced reactor designs.
