We have reviewed the Radiation Safety Seminar outline furnished as an enclosure to Mr. Wi'lli'am Gammi'll's letter dated October 2,'1979 and have decided that further information would be required on the following items to determi'ne the acceptability of the program at our site:
- 1. The examination pass/fail criteria
- 2. The frequency at whi'ch NRC training and retraining is given.
3, The length of time for which certification of an individual shall relqaln valid.
4, DocuIIIentation requi'rements
-In addition we strongly recommend modifying the course outline to include discussi.'ons about CLARA and Radi'ation Emergency Preparedness.
In light of the above, we regret to inform you that the certifi-cation program presented to us in Mr. Gammill's letter will not be ac-ceptable as a yi.'able alternate to our present plant-specific training program unti 1 the requested i'nformati'on is furnished and reviewed by us for consistency with Cook Plant practice.
