Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-346, License Number NPF-3 Submittal of Contractor Equivalent Margins Assessments for Reactor Vessel Welds (Nonproprietary Versions) (TAC No. ME4640)

By letters dated June 14, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12167A369) and September 7, 2012 (ML12254A953), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) provided proprietary (non-redacted) versions of contractor equivalent margins assessments developed by AREVA NP Inc. (AREVA NP). On November 16, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requested that FENOC provide nonproprietary (redacted) versions of the two assessments. Following the request, AREVA NP prepared nonproprietary versions of the two equivalent margins assessments.

Enclosure A provides nonproprietary AREVA NP Calculation No. 32-9195423-000, "DB-1 EMA of RPV Inlet & Outlet Nozzle-to-Shell Welds for 60 Years - Non-Proprietary."

Enclosure B provides nonproprietary AREVA NP Calculation No. 32-9195651-000, "Equivalent Margins Assessment of Davis-Besse Transition Welds for 52 EFPY -

Non-Proprietary."
