Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 LER 98-010-00 Potential Violation of Design Criteria During Single Auxiliary Transformer Operation This letter transmits Licensee Event Report (LER) number 98-010-00 concerning a condition which was initially reported via the Event Notification System (ENS) on August 25,1998. A second and associated issue was identified and reported via ENS on September 16,1998 as supplemental information in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(c). Both are addressed by this LER. l This LER is being submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73, using the required NRC forms (attached).

NRC Form 366 contains an abstract that provides a brief description of the evaluated condition.

For a complete description of the evaluated condition, refer to the text of the report provided on Form 366A. This written report is being submitted beyond the 30 day report period so that the content of the two assockted 10 CFR 50.72 reports could be combined in a single submittal. This i was done with the concurrence of the Senior Resident.
