Reference:

Joyce (Comed) to U.S. NRC letter dated July 15,1995, transmitting License Event Report 95-01, Docket No.50-010 The purpose of this letter (as discussed in previous telephone conversations) is to provide additional information regarding Dresden Station's commitment in LER 95-01 to submit a Dresden Unit 1 Technical Specification Amendment request. The commitment was to modify the adnunistrative section of Dresden Unit 1 Technical Specifications to be similar to that of Units 2 and 3.
The commitment to have the Technical Specification submitted to the NRC by September,1996 was not met. This is primarily due to a new Comed organizational restructuring that requires revisions to the Decommissioning Plan and the Quality Assurance Topical Report. Additionally, a Corporate Memorandum of Understanding is currently under review that defines roles and responsibilities regarding decommissioning activities. It is anticipated that these administrative changes will be completed during the month of October and therefore the Technical Specification Amendment Request will be submitted no later than November 27,1996.
