This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. S. R. Lasuk of this of fice on September 26-28, 1978, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 13-00108-05 and Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-654 and to the discussion of our findings with. Messrs. R. W. Webb and H. C. Briggs at the conclusion of the inspection.

The. inspect'.on was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's . rules and regulations and with the conditions of your' license. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and repretentative records, observations, and interviews with personnel.

This inspection also included a review of actions described in your letter dated April 5, 1976 regarding the apparent i 'em of noncompli-ance identified during our March 15-17, 1976 inspection. We have no further questions regarding this matter.

No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection of License No.- 13-00108-05.

However, during this _ inspection of License No. SNM-654, certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as described in the enclosed Appendix A.

This notice is sent to you pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.201.of .the NRC's " Rules ' of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
