Dear Mr. Austin:

This letter transmits final decontamination and decommissioning survey data for specific portions of the UNC Naval Products facility.

These areas comprise the remaining buildings at this

site, including encapsulated material manufacturing areas; identified incident areas; office areas, mezzanines and new MFP facility; and support buildings.

Copies of this data have also been sent to NRC Region I and ORISE.

All survey data confirm that these areas meet the release criteria for unrestricted use established in our license.

The areas

-identified are ready for NRC confirmatory surveys and we request that ORISE be scheduled into our facility in February 1993 to perform that work.

Should you have any questions regard!ng this submittal, please contact me.

Very truly yours, Am f: GY!f!
