Dear Mr. Austin:

Th'e refe'renced letter submitted the Final Site Decontamination Report for UNC Naval Products, dealing with D&D of the outdoor areas of the UNC site.

Attached to this letter is additional information which should be appended to that report. This information deals with additional remediation and survey word in the incinerator pad area, as a follow-up to the confirmatory surveys performed for the NRC by ORISE in May 1993.

The results of this additional work demonstrate that the incinerator pad j

area meets the NRC's requirements for unrestricted release.
