March 10,1997 JSPLTR #97-0051 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555 Enclosed is Licensee Event Report 97-001, Docket 50-010, which is being submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(i)(B) which requires the reporting of any operation or condition prohibited by the plant's Technical Specifications.
This correspondence contains the following commitments:
- 1. Dresden Station will implement permanent changes in the design of the 120 volt power supply for the Alternate Iodine and Particulate Sampling System to prevent a similar occurrence. (NTS 010-180-97-00101)
- 2. Dresden Station will review the design of power supplies for Safety Related, Technical Specification required, or Dresden Administrative Technical Requirement required components to verify that the circuits do not contain outlets that are susceptible to overload due to uncontrolled loads. The first priority of this review will include effluent and radiation monitoring components that have been added since original construction.
