ThisletterrespondstoyourJuly20,1990,letterandprovidesconfirmationthatcorrectiveactioninresponsetothefindingsresultingfromtheon-siteauditoftheSPDShasbeentakenandtheitemsareclosed.Thespecificfindingsandourconfirmationofclose-outaregivenbelow.SPDSIsNotContinuousoTheSPDSmonitordoesnotprovideanyvisualoraudiblecuestoalertoperatorstoachangeinstatusforthefiveplant-specificsafetyfunctionsondisplaysotherthanthetwo,topleveliconicdisplays.R~esenseThemodificationtolimitthekeyboardfunctionsavailableononeofthecontrolroomTSCcomputerterminalsandprovideadedicateddisplayoftheSPDSiconicwascompletedonJuly2,1990,forbothUnits1and2.ThesoftwaremodificationpreventsauserfromaccessinganydisplaysotherthantheiconicdisplaysfromtheSPDS-dedicatedterminal.AlongrangesolutionisalsobeinginvestigatedthatwouldpermitausertoaccessotherdisplaysontheSPDSdedicatedterminalwhilestillbeingawareifanyadversechangestotheICONICDisplays'rocessvariables.Ifthisalternativesolutionisfoundtobepracticalitwillbeimplemented.SPDSIsNotDesinedtoIncororateAccetedHumanFactorsPrincilesoNumericalvaluesforthehighandlowlevelalarmsetpoints0"OG~9008270iM900Si7PDRADOCK05000315PPDCOo90y
