Crutchfield (NRC), dated December 28, 1982, Environmental Review for License Conversion By Reference 1, the NRC requested that Southern California Edison (SCE) review the existing Final Environmental Statement (FES) for San Onofre Unit I to identify significant changes to the San Onofre facility or the environs that would affect the conclusion reached in the Unit 1 FES. By Reference 2, SCE informed you that the requested information would be provided after completion of the NRC's Integrated Safety Assessment.

Enclosure I to this letter summarizes the results of our review of the San Onofre Unit 1 FES in the light of currently available information.

i Based on these results, we conclude that no significant changes to the October 1973 FES conclusions are necessary.
