Docket Nos. 50-361/50-362 Monthly Operating Reports for April 1990 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 This letter transmits the Monthly Operating Reports required by Section 6.9.1.10 of Appendix A, Technical Specifications (TS) to Facility Operating Licenses NPF-10 and NPF-15 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3, respectively.
The reports cover each Unit's routine operating statistics and shutdown experience; all challenges to the safety valves; any changes to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM); and any major changes to the radioactive waste treatment systems. All covered activities are reported monthly, except for ODCM changes which requires reporting within 90 days from the time the changes were made effective.
On February 15, 1990, Revision 21 to the Units 2 and 3 ODCM was made effective.
This revision moved the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS),
verbatim, from the Technical Specifications to the ODCM in accordance with Amendments 83 and 73 to Unit 2 and Unit 3 TS, respectively. ODCM pages affected by the change are included in this month's report.
There were no challenges to the safety valves or major changes to the Units 2 and 3 radioactive waste treatment systems during the reporting period.
