Dear Mr. Denton:

We are transmitting to you under separate cover thirteen (13) copies of the page changes associated with the 1984 updated version of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, as recpxired by 10 CFR 50.71(e). A list of replacement pages is included with each set.

At the recpxest of the NRC Regional staff, we have expanded the description of the Quality Assurance Program addressed in Section 1.7.

We believe the expanded description continues to satisfy the criteria of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B.

The updates of Chapters 3 and 14 for Unit 1 have been prepared by our fuels vendor. As of this transmittal date, we have identified no discrepancies with that input; however, our review is not complete. We will continue to review the changes to those Chapters, and will notify the NRC if any significant discrepancies are identified.

Please note that we have dated the pages of this update of the FSAR with "July 1984" to establish a point of reference for future updates.

We hereby certify that the information contained in this update to the FSAR, to the best of our knowledge, accurately presents changes made since the previous submittal.
