Dear Mr. Denton:

Thank you for your acknowledgment of June 11, 1979, of the petition on behalf of the Municipal Energy Agency of Mississippi which we had earlier filed. I am ir' receipt of a letter to you from counsel for Applicant, Conner, Moore & Corber, which refers to information provided you by MP&L by letters dated January 10, 1979, and March 12, 1979, which assertedly "is dispositive of MEAM's allegation...". By letter of June 21, 1979 to counsel for Appli cant, a copy of which was directed to your attentien, we requested copies of those letters furnished to the Staff, which had not pre-viously been furnished to MEAM. By letter of June 27, 1979, counsel for MP&L has responded by d -ting us to the NRC Public Document Room (copy attached), dhile MEAM will avail itself of the facilities ot the NRC Public Document Room, we do not wish lack of response to the June 19 letter of MP&L to be taken as acquiescience. As we note in our letter of June 21, MEAM vigorously disputes many of the allegations there asserted. Yours very truly,

Dear Mr. McDiarmid:

This letter is in response to your letter of June 21, 1979 pertaining to the captioned matter. Inasmuch as I have been and will be out of town for some time in an operating license proceeding, I will be unable to discuss the issues you raised personally with you. Ecwever, all of the docu-ments referenced in our letter of June 19, 1979 to Mr. Denton are on file in the NRC Public Document Room. Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Conner:

Thank you for the copy of your letter of June 19, 1979, to the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, in the above-captioned pro-ceeding. As you know, MEAM vigorously disputes many of the allegations which you assert in tha t letter. This will request, however, a copy of the information previously pro-vided by MP&L to the NRC Staff by letters dated January 10, and March 12, 1979, to which you refer. Since you assert that the information provided therein "is dispositive of MEAM's allegations...", we would appreciate being advised of whatever new information may be contained therein not pre-viously brought to our attention. s ve ry tru ' y , Robert C.
