Nevertheless, for your information I am enclosing a recent 10 CFR Part 21 report filed with the Staff on a different matter, a cracked splitter plate at 7 904280216

On March 22, 1979, a report was m5de under tne provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) concerning a cracked splitter plate in the reactor coolant system.

In accordance with the reporting requirements of 10CFR21, the following information is subnitted:

A crac'<es splitter plate has been discovered in the reactcr coolant The splitter pipe leading ir.to the R. C. Puma "C" i suction volute.

plate is attached inside the R. C. P pe by Welds on both sides of the plate to longitudinal bosses on each side cf the pipe inside diama ter.

Two cracks have been discovered in the vicinity of the plate to pioe welded interf ace.
