The subject addendums are forwarded to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)- as prescribed in the NRC approved August 1983 " Physical Security Plan, San Onofre Nuclear. Generating Station, Units 1, 2 and 3."

The temporary changes presented in these addendums were discussed telephonically with NRC Region V Headquarters (P. Champion [SCE], and D.

Schaefer [NRC-V]). Two copies of these addendums have also been forwarded by this letter to the Regional Administrator,' NRC Region V.

The temporary changes presented in these addendums do not decrease the  !

safeguards effectiveness of this plan. The addendums contain " Safeguards Information" and must be protected under 10 CFR 73.21.
