  • The referenced letter provided TV Electric's affirmation and certification regarding the adequacy and accuracy of the CPSES Unit 1 Technical Specifications with the following exceptions:

- Plant Systems (Auxiliary Feedwater flow requirements / Condensate Storage Tank volume),

- Accident Monitoring Instrumentation, and i Area Temperature Monitoring l This letter provides the schedule for affirming the above specifications. Our reviews to establish the adequacy and accuracy of the above specifications will be completed and the results submitted to the NRC by May 15, 1989.

Additionally, in response to a verbal request by Ms. Melinda Malloy of the NRC, TV Electric is providing information concerning minimum flow requirements for testing Containment Spray. A minimum flow rate of 6600 gpm is required for Containment Spray (Specification 3/4.6.2) during testing to ensure the 5800 and 7200 gpm for injection and recirculation, respectively, as required by the Final Safety Analysis Report. The flow rate of 6600 gpm is determined by calculation ME(B)-607.
