l Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter is to submit an updated TXU Electric

• request for the NRC staff to review and approve certain proposed changes to the CPSES Emergency Plan. TXU Electric's original request asking for the NRC's review and approval of proposed. emergency plan changes was submitted on October 15,1998, (Reference 1). TXU Electric later supplemented the original submittal after responding to an NRC staff request for additional information

- (Reference 2). The need for this request update was discussed in a telephone communication between TXU Electric and the NRR staff as noted above (Reference 3).

TXU Electric herein requests that the NRC review and approve the proposed changes submitted by References 1 and 2 above prior to the changes being implemented at CPSES.

The proposed changes to the CPSES Emergency Plan are categorized by TXU Electric as requiring prior NRC review and approval in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q).

? TXU Electric was formerly TU Electric. A license amendment request (LAR 99-003) was L submitted per TXX-99122, dated May 14,1999, to revise the company name contained in the

- CPSES Operating Licenses.
