CALLAWAY - FIRST 10-YEAR INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM The NRC staff has completed its review of the first 10-year inservice testing l (IST) prcgram at Callaway. The review encorn,assed the initial submittal of l January 31, 1984 and subsequent revisions up to arid including the April 14, j 1987 revision.

. Based on the review of the Callaway IST program and relief requests, the staff concludes that the IST program will provide reasonable assurance of the operational readiness of the pumps and valves covered by the IST program to perform their safety-related functions. All relief requests are granted with the exception of relief request numbers P03 and P09, where interim relief is granted until June 1, 1988, and relief request number V02 which is only l partially granted.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
